Gili Air with the reputation as a quiet island, Gili Air is the smallest of the Gilis, and the closest to the mainland. There are beaches around most of the island, but some are not suitable for swimming because they’re quite shallow and have sharp coral below. The hotels and restaurants are scattered, giving the island a pleasant, rural character and it’s a delight to wander around.
GETTING TO GILI AIR AND AWAY

It’s possible to reach Gili Air using a combination of bus and boat from Mataram and Senggigi, but many travelers coming from Bali end up using the Perama Ship, Shuttle Company, Fast Boat, or pick up from Amed.
Coming by public transport, catch a bus or Bemo to Pemenang, from where it’s about 1 km by cidomo or walking to the harbor at Bangsal.
The Koperasi Angkutan Laut ( Sea Transportation Co-operative ) is the boats owners’ cartel, which monopolies public transport between Bangsal and the Islands, boat tickets are sold at the harbor office with schedule and prices displayed on the wall.

Gili Air are a favourite haunt divers of all levels with varied terrain and abundance of marine life, turtle and seasonal manta rays can be seen at most dive and snorkeling sites, the water depth is 6m to 27m.
On Gili Air, there are many ways to see the aquatic life of Gili Air, such as : Diving, snorkeling or rent the boat for trip, Gili Air offer many sites to dive and snorkeling.
